If an emergency vehicle is approaching with emergency warning equipment active, drivers must slow down, indicate, and pull over to the right side of the road to allow the vehicle to pass. If the emergency vehicle continues to follow behind, the driver must stop at the nearest, safe location. It is also an offence to pass or attempt to pass an emergency vehicle that is driving in emergency conditions or blocking the road.
